A lifelong passion for two wheels
My love affair with motorcycles began when I was just a kid. Growing up in Indiana, I was always drawn to the local shops, captivated by the bikes and the camaraderie of bikers. I spent countless hours learning from mechanics and customers alike, even snagging a ride or two. Those good times, surrounded by good people, forged a deep-rooted passion that continues to fuel Sun and Steel today.
Tuning into the world of radios
Parallel to my passion for bikes, I’ve always been fascinated by electronics and radios. The 1980s CB radio boom was a formative time, filled with excitement and learning. I was lucky to have incredible mentors who taught me the tricks of the trade, from peaking and aligning radios, to helping to put up towers and hanging antennas. For me, CB radios and motorcycles have always shared that undeniable 'cool' factor.

With decades of personal enjoyment and hands-on experience, I've cultivated a deep connection with the motorcycle and radio communities. We're here to serve everyone, from new enthusiasts just starting their journey to seasoned veterans looking to replace or upgrade their equipment.
